A large percentage of H&K Sheetmetal Fabricators' work is done on a design-build basis. H&K's Chief Mechanical Engineer is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska. To begin the design-build process H&K's engineers will thoroughly review your project and provide you with either a budget number or a fixed price proposal. Upon agreement of contract H&K's engineers will not only design the mechanical systems involved in your project they will also coordinate the mechanical work with the other trades, obtain permits required by the Municipality of Anchorage, and manage your project from inititation to completion. This versatility allows H&K's customers to have a single point of contact for the design and the construction of their mechanical systems.
The majority of commercial tenant improvement projects are fast-paced with short completion schedules. Having in-house engineers gives H&K Sheetmetal Fabricators a clear advantage in the tenant improvement market. Initially this allows for faster provision of project estimates and proposals due to the fact that outside mechanical consultant bids will not be required. Additionally, H&K is equipped to provide engineered mechanical plans in a timely fashion. Furthermore, any mechanical field changes or change-orders that may occur during your project will only need to go through one point of contact which allows for a much more timely response and reaction.
